Chris Yerinides & the Rough Edges keep the hard rock and grunge flames alive when heavy guitars and loud vocals somehow struggle to be heard. Just as the 90s Seattle grunge movement was a response to the superficial culture of the decade prior, the Rough Edges challenge the status-quo by offering an in-your-face alternative to their contemporaries through heavy rock riffs, delicate instrumental moments, and introspective lyrics.

The band started as a one-off project to celebrate the musicians Chris Yerinides had played with throughout his time in CT, and Bound was the vehicle. Bound was released concurrently with a self-organized festival to promote the surrounding artistic community. The Rough Edges were joined by friends and fellow rock bands Justin Chan & the Vices, The Nuclear Heartbreak, and Jacques Le Coque. Off-stage, visual artists showcased their talent, and municipal stakeholders sponsored local events. Just as the Rough Edges balance grunge and heavy elements with ambient sounds, the band’s philosophy juxtaposes feelings of isolation with community involvement. Chris, Brian, Mitch, and Tim solidified the lineup in 2020.

Since then, the band has been releasing new music which has led to numerous playlist additions, putting the band among likes of Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters, and Pearl Jam.
